Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

Wondering what it’s like to work with me? These are some of the frequently asked questions.Have a question I missed? Reach out, I’d love to chat!

  • How soon can I get the photos after the session?

You’ll receive all the lightly edited photos within 24 business hours to choose your favorites, then I’ll retouch your selected images (the number depends on your chosen package found on the Price page) and deliver them via Dropbox in 5-7 days. It’s quick so you can share the joy sooner!
But if for any reason you absolutely have to have them even sooner, it can be arranged for a small fee (currently $100).
  • What if we need to cancel?

Just give me a heads-up – we can work it out, though last-minute changes might have a small fee (currently $35).

I understand plans can change. If you need to reschedule, please let me know as soon as possible—I’ll do my best to accommodate.
  • Do you shoot in the evening too?

Yes, I absolutely shoot in the evening too! Evening light in Naples can be pure magic – warm, golden-hour glow that makes everyone look amazing. It’s one of my favorite times to capture those soft, dreamy portraits, especially on the beach or in a park where the sunset adds a special touch. Plus, evenings can work great if your schedule is tight. Just let me know what time suits you, and we’ll make it happen with that beautiful light!
  • How far in advance should we book?

Ideally at least 2-8 weeks in advance depending on the season. Naples can get busy, particularly during peak times like holidays, school breaks, or the winter months when tourists flock to the area, so booking early ensures you get your preferred slot and allows me to plan for the best lighting and location for your session.

That said, I know life can be unpredictable, and sometimes you need photos sooner than expected. I’ll do my best to squeeze you in if my schedule allows. Just send me a text message. My goal is to make this as stress-free as possible for you.

  • What if the weather is bad on the day of our outdoor session?

No problem! We can reschedule for a better day or move the session to an indoor location. Your comfort and safety are my top priorities. Here is an important note for our Naples guests: please never schedule your session on the last day of your trip. Why? If the weather is bad and we need to reschedule, it’s best to have 2-3 days before your departure to find a good weather day.

  • How long does a typical session last?

From 15 to 90 minutes. However, what I found in my 20+ years of being a photographer is that a focused 30 minute session is just the right time. Something called a ‘Smile fatigue’ which is a very real phenomenon in photography happens during longer photo sessions. When people have to hold smiles for extended periods or repeatedly smile on command during a long photoshoots:

    • The facial muscles literally get tired
    • People become mentally drained from maintaining a positive expression
    • There is a noticeable decline in authenticity
    • This is especially pronounced with children, who typically can only maintain genuine engagement for 15-20 minute

I know how to work efficiently to capture genuine moments quickly, which is why  15-30 minute sessions can actually yield better results than traditional longer sessions. But if necessary, the shoots can take longer.

  • Why choose you over another photographer?

My clients often report that after photo sessions with me their mood is elevated and remains that way for a few days. If you have children, there is a high chance that they will love posing for me. Sometimes I find myself helping other photographers to get attention of the children they are photographing if the kids didn’t cooperate before… My 20+ years of expertise and specialized gear mean every shot’s pro-quality – whether it’s you, your family, or your pet. Plus, with me:
    • You get all your photos! No need to stress over which ones to keep – keep them all!
    • You get them in just 24 business hours! No need to wait for days or weeks.
    • You pick what I retouch. It’s your life – your photos – your choice!
    • My sessions are short and sweet. No more sore cheeks, robot smiles, or whispering ‘are we done yet?’ through your teeth! Even kids and men love them!
  • Do you provide prints or just digital files?

I deliver high-res digital files – perfect for sharing or printing yourself. Want physical gift for grandma or grandpa? I can make you perfect photo albums to keep or give as gifts! Let me know what you have in mind.
  • When do I get my photos?

You’ll see the link to Dropbox in your email inbox within 24 business hours after the shoot. Please note that I send ALL of them. You get to choose which ones you want retouched. Need them even sooner? Just let me know. For extra $100 I can send them as soon as 2-3 hours after the shoot.
  • How much do your sessions cost?

Prices vary based on the session – proposals, families, pets, or portraits – and what you need. Go to the Price page to get a general idea or contact me for a custom quote – I’ll make sure it fits your vision and budget. No surprises!

Proposal & Engagement Questions

Dreaming of a surprise proposal or engagement in Naples area? These FAQs cover the essentials. Curious how it works? Read on – or send me a text msg!

  • Do you help with posing during the session?

Totally! I’m all about guiding you into poses that feel natural and show your connection. No modeling experience needed—I’ll suggest cozy cuddles, sweet glances, or playful twirls that highlight your love. Whether it’s your first photoshoot or you’re still buzzing from a secret proposal, I’ve got you covered!
  • Can we include our pet in the engagement photos?

Absolutely, pets are welcome! They’re part of your love story too. Just let me know in advance, and bring along a treat or toy to keep them smiling. We’ll snap some adorable shots—think your pup photobombing a kiss or lounging by your side. It’s a fun twist for any engagement session!
  • Can we choose the location for our session?

Yes, it’s your story! Naples, FL, offers gems like Lowdermilk Park Beach, Naples Pier, or even the lush Naples Botanical Garden. Want to shoot where they popped the question or a spot that means something to you? Just tell me, and I’ll make it picture-perfect. We’ll find a backdrop that screams “us”!
  • What should we wear for our engagement photos?

Pick outfits that make you feel like you! Solid colors or subtle patterns look amazing in photos, and if we’re at the beach, light fabrics with colors that match the sky and sand – light blues, any hue of pastel, white, etc. Coordinate with your partner for a polished look – think complementary tones, not necessarily twinsies. Bring a spare outfit if you want variety, and don’t forget that ring to shine in close-ups!
  • What should I wear for the proposal photos?

Wear something that makes you feel confident and comfortable! Solid colors photograph beautifully, and avoid busy patterns that might distract from the focus—you two! If you’re proposing on the beach, light, airy outfits work great, and don’t forget to bring the ring—it’s a star of the show!
When we schedule our photo session, I will share more information on what to wear, what to do and even what to say to her so she doesn’t suspect a thing.
  • How do you capture candid moments during the proposal?

While I specialize in posed portraits, I know the proposal itself needs to feel natural and candid. I’ll position myself discreetly to catch those genuine reactions without intruding, then guide you into a few posed shots after the “yes” to celebrate—it’s all about capturing that raw emotion first.
During our initial conversation, we will make a plan of action and you’ll know exactly where I will be and what to do so that the surprise goes perfectly and as smoothly as can be.
  • Can you suggest locations for a Secret Proposal in Naples, FL?

Absolutely! Naples has some stunning spots for a secret proposal, like Delnor-Wiggins Park Beach, Naples Pier, or the Naples Botanical Garden. I prefer locations that are less crowded but if you have a special place in mind, like where you had your first date, I’m happy to scout it out with you to ensure it’s photogenic and private enough for the moment.
  • What happens if the proposal doesn’t go as planned?

Life can be unpredictable, and I’m here to handle it. If the proposal is delayed or doesn’t happen, we can reschedule for another time that works for you. If you decide not to proceed with the photos after scheduling, the only thing you lose is a small admin fee (currently $35), which is waved if you change your mind and book a session within a year.
  • How do you ensure the Proposal remains a secret?

I take every precaution to keep your proposal a surprise! I’ll work closely with you to plan discreetly, arriving early and positioning myself out of sight until the moment is right. I’ll blend in with the environment so your partner doesn’t suspect a thing – your secret is safe with me, and discretion is my top priority!
  • Where is the best place for an engagement photoshoot in Naples?

Some beautiful locations include Naples Pier, Delnor-Wiggins Pass Beach, and Naples botanical garden. I can help you choose the perfect spot based on your style and preferences.

Family Photography Questions

I love photographing parents with their kids. These are the questions I often get.

  • How do you handle fussy children during the session?

I have lots of experience with children of all personalities. The trick is to keep sessions short and sweet and “go with the child’s flow”. I’ll capture majority of photos when they are most engaged and active, I’ll let them rest when they get tired. In addition, I’ll use toys, games, and patience to make them feel comfortable. Sometimes, a favorite snack can work wonders. My goal is to capture their true spirit, whether they’re outgoing or a bit reserved.
  • Can siblings or the whole family be included in the session?

Yes, definitely! While the focus is on your child, I’m happy to include siblings or even the whole family for some group shots. It’s a great way to capture your family’s love and dynamics.
  • What should my child wear for the session?

Dress your child in something they feel comfortable in. Solid colors or simple patterns work best, and coordinating outfits with siblings or parents can create a cohesive look. Bring a backup outfit just in case!
Oftentimes, Mom and daughter will wear matching outfits if Mom want to be in the picture. For beach photos, wear light, breezy tones in harmony with sky and sand.
  • What should I bring to the parent and child photo session?

Bring favorite non-messy snacks (no chocolate please) and water for your kids to keep them happy and energized. This snack will be used as a reward. You may bring a new toy if you wish but you don’t have to. I usually bring a toy which will be new to them and some balloons that your kids get to keep. Bring change of clothes, just in case. Arrive a few minutes early to let the kids explore and get comfortable with the location.

  • Do you provide props or should we bring our own?

I have a selection of simple, timeless props (e.g., blankets, baskets, and toys), but I encourage you to bring any items that are meaningful to your family, like a favorite stuffed animal or a special blanket.

  • What if my child is shy or uncooperative?

Don’t worry – I’ve worked with kids of all temperaments! I use a fun, relaxed approach to help them feel comfortable, and I’m patient with breaks or playtime if needed. The goal is to capture their true personality, even if it takes a little extra time.

  • What should we wear for the parent and child photoshoot?

I recommend coordinating outfits in complementary colors (e.g., neutrals or pastels) rather than matching exactly. Avoid busy patterns or logos, and choose clothes that reflect your family’s personality. Avoid red and orange colors. If its a family group, stick with maximum 3 main colors. For example: white, light blue and sand/khaki/beige.

  • Can we include extended family in the session?

Absolutely! While my focus is on parents and kids, I’m happy to include grandparents, or even pets. Let me know your vision, and we’ll make it happen.

  • What ages do you photograph?

Children of all ages are welcome! From newborns to teenagers, I love capturing every stage of childhood. For newborns, we can do cozy, at-home sessions, while older kids might enjoy outdoor adventures.

Pet Photography Questions

Do you have a beloved pet yu want to photograph? Let me know if you have more questions than I answered here.

  • Can I be in the photos with my pet?

Absolutely! While the focus is on your pet, I’m always happy to include you in some shots to capture your special bond. We can do a mix of just your pet and some with you together, so you have photos that show off both their personality and your love for them.
  • Can I bring more than one pet?

I love photographing multiple pets. But we’ll have to discuss this first. Just let me know how many you are thinking of bringing. I’ll make sure each pet gets their moment to shine, whether it’s a duo or a whole pack. The time of the session will necessarily increase with each additional pet.
  • Where will the pet photography session take place?

Sessions can be at my cozy studio in Naples, FL, or at a location of your choice, like your home or a favorite park. We’ll pick a spot that’s comfortable for your pet and photogenic for the shoot—somewhere they feel at ease so we can capture their best side.
  • How should I prepare my pet for the session?

A quick grooming session to make their coat look shiny is a great start. Have their favorite toys or treats to keep them happy and engaged during the shoot. Also, make sure they’ve had a chance to go to the bathroom before we start—it keeps everyone relaxed and focused.
If it’s a kitty, make sure s/he eats right before the session but is still fully awake. If it’s a doggie, it’s the opposite, make sure s/he is slightly hungry and is interested in treats.
  • What if my pet is shy or doesn’t like having their picture taken?

No worries! I have lots of experience with all kinds of pets, from shy cats to energetic dogs. I’ll use treats, toys, and plenty of patience to make them feel comfortable. We’ll take it slow and capture those natural moments when they’re relaxed and being themselves. It just may take a bit more getting used to.

There is beauty in every face.

Let me capture yours!

With love from me to you.
