Children Photography in Naples
Various Locations
Kids have this incredible way of turning everyday moments into little adventures. Maybe it’s the way they light up when they spot a butterfly or the way they giggle uncontrollably over something silly. I love capturing those moments: the messy hair, the toothy grins, the quiet concentration when they’re focused on something important (to them, at least). These photos aren’t just snapshots – they’re a way to hold onto the magic of childhood, one memory at a time.

How to prepare?
Getting your child ready for their session is simple and fun – here’s what you need to do:
- Outfits
Dress them in something comfy and cute – solid colors or playful patterns work best. Bring a backup outfit for spills or mood changes. - Props
Pack a favorite toy, book, or snack to keep them happy and engaged. - Timing
Schedule around their routine – a rested, fed kid is a happy kid, so aim for post-nap or after a meal. - Arrival
Arrive 15 minutes early so they can settle in and get comfy with me. - Mindset
Relax and let them be themselves – I’ll handle the rest with patience and a smile.

Frequently Asked questions
Children Photography
How do you handle fussy children during the session?
I have lots of experience with children of all personalities. The trick is to keep sessions short and sweet and “go with the child’s flow”. I’ll capture majority of photos when they are most engaged and active, I’ll let them rest when they get tired. In addition, I’ll use toys, games, and patience to make them feel comfortable. Sometimes, a favorite snack can work wonders. My goal is to capture their true spirit, whether they’re outgoing or a bit reserved. Can siblings or the whole family be included in the session?
Yes, definitely! While the focus is on your child, I’m happy to include siblings or even the whole family for some group shots. It’s a great way to capture your family’s love and dynamics. What should my child wear for the session?
Dress your child in something they feel comfortable in. Solid colors or simple patterns work best, and coordinating outfits with siblings or parents can create a cohesive look. Bring a backup outfit just in case!Oftentimes, Mom and daughter will wear matching outfits if Mom want to be in the picture. For beach photos, wear light, breezy tones in harmony with sky and sand. How soon can I get the photos after the session?
You’ll receive all the lightly edited photos within 24 business hours to choose your favorites, then I’ll retouch your selected images (the number depends on your chosen package found on the Price page) and deliver them via Dropbox in 5-7 days. It’s quick so you can share the joy sooner! But if for any reason you absolutely have to have them even sooner, it can be arranged for a small fee (currently $100).How far in advance should we book?
Ideally at least 2-8 weeks in advance depending on the season. Naples can get busy, particularly during peak times like holidays, school breaks, or the winter months when tourists flock to the area, so booking early ensures you get your preferred slot and allows me to plan for the best lighting and location for your session.
That said, I know life can be unpredictable, and sometimes you need photos sooner than expected. I’ll do my best to squeeze you in if my schedule allows. Just send me a text message. My goal is to make this as stress-free as possible for you.
What if the weather is bad on the day of our outdoor session?
No problem! We can reschedule for a better day or move the session to an indoor location. Your comfort and safety are my top priorities. Here is an important note for our Naples guests: please never schedule your session on the last day of your trip. Why? If the weather is bad and we need to reschedule, it’s best to have 2-3 days before your departure to find a good weather day.
Do you provide props or should we bring our own?
I have a selection of simple, timeless props (e.g., blankets, baskets, and toys), but I encourage you to bring any items that are meaningful to your family, like a favorite stuffed animal or a special blanket.
What if my child is shy or uncooperative?
Don’t worry – I’ve worked with kids of all temperaments! I use a fun, relaxed approach to help them feel comfortable, and I’m patient with breaks or playtime if needed. The goal is to capture their true personality, even if it takes a little extra time.
How long does a typical session last?
From 15 to 90 minutes. However, what I found in my 20+ years of being a photographer is that a focused 30 minute session is just the right time. Something called a ‘Smile fatigue’ which is a very real phenomenon in photography happens during longer photo sessions. When people have to hold smiles for extended periods or repeatedly smile on command during a long photoshoots:
- The facial muscles literally get tired
- People become mentally drained from maintaining a positive expression
- There is a noticeable decline in authenticity
- This is especially pronounced with children, who typically can only maintain genuine engagement for 15-20 minute
I know how to work efficiently to capture genuine moments quickly, which is why 15-30 minute sessions can actually yield better results than traditional longer sessions. But if necessary, the shoots can take longer.
What ages do you photograph?
Children of all ages are welcome! From newborns to teenagers, I love capturing every stage of childhood. For newborns, we can do cozy, at-home sessions, while older kids might enjoy outdoor adventures.
There is beauty in every face.
